Privacy policy
Neuro-Kindred is built to be a calm space. This page explains, in plain words, what information we hold and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you create an account: your username, email address, date of birth (only to confirm you are 18 or older), and a password — which we store only as an irreversible hash, never as readable text.
What you choose to put on your profile: pronouns, identity tags, gender (optional), photos, intro videos, conversation prompts, bio, and city. You control all of it and can edit or remove it anytime.
When you use the app: messages you send, profiles you save, call records (who called whom and when — never the audio of a call), games and watch rooms you join, and the device token needed to deliver push notifications if you allow them.
Technical basics: a login cookie that keeps you signed in, and rate-limit counters that protect everyone from spam and abuse.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal data — to anyone, ever. We don't run advertising or ad cookies on Neuro-Kindred today. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first, before anything else changes.
Who else can see your data
The app runs on a hosting platform and its database is kept with a managed cloud database provider. These providers store the data so the service can function; they don't use it for their own purposes. Other members can only see what's on your profile and what you send them. The operator of Neuro-Kindred can view data when running the service or responding to safety reports.
Your choices
You can edit or remove anything on your profile from the app. You can turn off push notifications anytime in your device's notification settings and in the app's Settings page. You can block anyone who makes you uncomfortable — they stop being able to contact you.
